COMMON DISCUSSES NEW ALBUM "THE DREAMER, THE BELIEVER"

Looks like 2011 will be another solid year for Common. The rapper/actor who has been filming a movie, who made headlines when performing for President Obama earlier this year, and who switched from Geffen Music to Warner Bros, has finally announced a name and date for his new album.
Common will release The Dreamer, The Believer on Novemeber 22nd, the first single Ghetto Dreams with Nas is already getting a lot of buzz.
Just as he did with Kanye and Pharrell, one producer will work on the project in its entirety; this time it will be No I.D.
Look out for Common on the Rock the Bells tour

OTIS REDDING'S DAUGHTER HAS SPOKEN ABOUT THE JAY Z & KANYE SONG

Jay-Z and Kanye gave the world a little sample of what's yet to come for their highly anticipated Watch the Throne album with their latest track "Otis," which samples Otis Redding's, "Try a Little Tenderness." His daughter, Karla Redding-Andrews, stepped forward to talk about the track and it's deep meaning for her.  "We first heard about the song in early July, end of June. Concord Music Group has the masters and Bill Belmont and Michele Smith from Concord brought it to us. There was a back and forth about whether the name of the song would be 'Otis' or 'Otis Redding.' And we just wanted to make sure lyrics and references in the song worked with the legacy of my father. To have two current, legendary artists use the legendary music of Otis Redding-we were quite honored."  The track lists Otis Redding as being featured on the track Karla says, because "the estate was offered the option to have 'Otis' receive a 'featuring Otis Redding' credit, and agreed."

50 CENT PLANS TO FEED 1 BILLION PEOPLE IN AFRICA

50 Cent Plans to Feed 1 Billion African People

To me it is funny how people knock rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent. It seems that he does have a heart and that he is will willing to help a cause. 50 Cent is the latest celebrity to use his name for a good cause. He made a statement via Twitter while on a trip to Africa after seeing the poor conditions the native people were living in. Fif says he "wants to impact peoples lives more. I create a new goal for my self, I want to feed a billion people in Africa over the next 5 years." He later added  "People here have a fair shot they don't have water" after being asked why he decided to help out.

ANDRE 3000 TO DROP ALBUM

I personally soooooooooo GEEKED to announce that one of the G.O.A.T.'s will be coming back to the game this year. Yes the big homie Andre 3000 aka 3 Stacks, will be dropping a solo album this year. This comes from his partner in rhyme Big Boi who leaked the info to world via twitter earlier this week. I think its about time the he comes back to the game and give us fans what we want. What do you think about the return of Andre 3000 to the game?

DRAKE DEFENDS HIS RAP STYLE

So Octobers very own, Drake took to twitter to clear the air about his rapping style. The Canadian rapper said "Damn i just took the beard down and realized I'm still the same age as ya'll boys...447,000 first week off MY flows. See you in the fall." There seem to be some speculation after an interview that Detroit rapper Big Sean did where he said that Drake had credited him for his "new found" rapping style where they put metaphors together without using "like" or "as." So far Big Sean hasn't caught wind of Drake's tweet. Story unfolding.
Who do you think started this new rap style? Was it Drake or Big Sean?
